Configuring RJE/XL into MPE XL
The screens described in this section are used for RJE/XL BSC link
configuration. NMMGR provides four kinds of screens for RJE/XL link
configuration, described below.
* Link Configuration - allows you to specify the links configured for
this node, including the link's identifying name.
* Linkdata - allows you to configure data necessary for the link level
software, such as the physical path of the hardware card, and
parameters specific to the BSC protocol.
* Phonedat - from each Linkdata screen, you can proceed to the Phonedat
screen for the link being configured. This screen allows you to
specify whether the dial connection to a remote node is initiated by
manual dial (in which a system operator must dial the telephone
number) or autodial (in which the number is automatically dialed by a
device with autodial capability) and a list of phone numbers to be
used.
* RemoteID - from each Linkdata screen, you can proceed to the RemoteID
screen for the link being configured. This screen allows you to
specify a list of remote ID sequences to be used for this node.
NOTE Configurable fields described in this manual are required unless
otherwise stated.
WARNING The RJLINE command and the CLINE command (used only by customers
migrating from RJE/V) may override some parts of the NMMGR
configuration.
