This A.06.14 version of Information Access Server/iX (previously called
Information Access Server/XL) includes the following important
enhancements:
* Increase size of string pool (AC23150, "too many strings"). The
string pool has been increased to 4096 bytes and the total number
of strings is double the maximum number of items.
* Increase Access code area (AC23200, "Access code overflow"). The
Access internal code area has been increased by 20,000 bytes.
* File equations for IMAGE Databases were ignored. File equations
for IMAGE Databases are now allowed. For local databases, the
file designator in the file equation must be the fully qualified
database name. For remote databases, a file equation can be
executed on the remote system by using a logon UDC set for the
remote user.
* Table Tree Overflow on a very complex view table (AC23599). The
internal data structure has been doubled to allow multi-level
complex view tables.
* Increase the maximum table record size. The maximum table record
size has been increased from 2048 bytes to 4000 bytes.
* Increase maximum number of items per table. The maximum number of
items per table has been increased from 64 to 255.
