Chapter 10 PRODUCT RELEASE INFORMATION
Product Release Information
The following provides information on the currently supported Commercial
Systems MPE/iX Releases. Included are the MPE/iX VUF and a list of
products introduced. It also provides information on significant changes
made to a release.

SUPPORTED RELEASES
The following matrix provides information on the supported Commercial
Systems MPE/iX Releases. It lists the currently supported releases and
the SPUs that are supported. The matrix also provides all known factory
support termination dates. When a release becomes unsupported, the
factory does not provide any support services for that release. Online
calls are not accepted, and patches are not created; customers are
advised to roll to a supported release.
The support life of a release is dependent on its distribution type.
Releases that are distributed to the entire MPE/iX installed base (full
Push) are supported for 24 months, or 12 months following the full Push
release, whichever is longer.
Releases that are not distributed to the entire MPE/iX installed base are
supported for 12 months, or 3 months following the full Push release,
whichever is longer.

@ Releases having a full Push distribution are denoted by an @
sign.
* The support termination date may change to enable customers to
roll to the following full Push release. The number in the ( )
identifies how many months that release is supported after the
first customer shipment of the following full Push release. A
newly calculated date or the date listed, whichever is longer is
used as the support termination date.
** XL Release 3.1 is a limited distribution release, and it will
have a limited support life. Hewlett-Packard support for 3.1 will
terminate three months after the next general release becomes
available or on January 1, 1993, whichever is longer.
