COMMUNICATOR 3000/XL XL RELEASE 3.0
HP System Account Naming Structure
by George Fogle
Application Support Division
Since the MPE operating system originated, Hewlett-Packard has developed
and maintained a number of system accounts that are considered reserved
accounts. Each time you perform a system installation or update, the new
information added to your system is placed in these reserved system
accounts.
In order to avoid overwriting your user accounts, Hewlett-Packard
recommends that you rename any non Hewlett-Packard accounts that use any
of the following system account names.
