HP DeskMon: Administrator's Guide
Running the Configurator
The DeskMon Configurator program can be run from any VPLUS/3000
compatible terminal. The Configurator can be run from MPE or from within
HP DeskManager. In most cases, the configuration is updated dynamically.
Changes made to the configuration are effective immediately.
You must be logged on as one of the following:
* MGR.HPOFFICE,DESKMON
* HP DeskManager user with SYSADMIN capability.
* HP DeskManager user with DMADMIN capability (reserved group 16).
To run the Configurator, type:
:DMCONFIG
or use the command:
:RUN DMCONFIG.DESKMON.SYS;LIB=G
The Configurator's Main Menu will be displayed.
All changes to the DeskMon configuration are automatically saved in the
file DMUPDATE.DESKMON.HPOFFICE. This file is similar to the BCREPORT file
generated by the HP DeskManager Configurator. The DMUPDATE file can be
used to automatically update the configuration of DeskMon on remote
machines.
