The Not So Secret Life of a Message

1. Messages are created on the HP3000.

2. Picked up by the OpenView Agent on the HP3000.

3. Matched against a selection filter.

4. If the message is not suppressed by the message filter, it is sent to the Management Server.

5. Messages are displayed in the “Active Message Browser” with date, time, severity, origin.
