The Logfile Reader

• OpenView can read logfiles.

• Any ASCII file, can be a logfile.

• Records are read sequentially by OpenView.

• OpenView can run a script at set intervals.

• The script appends data to the logfile as well as triggers a read of the logfile.

• OpenView can read the logfile after the script has executed or, read the logfile when the date of modification has change.
