• If it worked before, something changed! What?

  • Use network support tools to get the current configuration (HW/FW/OS/ SW configuration) of every device in path.
  • Compare to archived data.

• Change found:

  • HW: added FastEthernet interface on Cisco 3640
  • OS: no change (IOS 11.2(8))
  • SW configuration: added FastEthernet support
