Heartbeats can go over dissimilar
Standby LANs must be of the same type as the LAN for which is standing by
The members of the cluster must NOT be on different segments of a routed network
Use names rather than IP addresses
NEVER put relocatables IP addresses in /etc/rc.config/net
Place ALL stationary & relocatable IP addresses in /etc/hosts or DNS
