Until MPE provides the ability to rename accounts and groups, these are the steps needed to change your eRP tool
account name. This example will change the account HP32265 to ERPTOOLS. Oh, and just in case, keep the RC phone
number handy ☺
- Create the new account.
As MANAGER.SYS use BULDACCT.PUB.SYS to create the 2 job files that will recreate your tool account. Change the
old account name to the new name and stream the job. You may also move your tools account to a user volume with the
optional "%VSACCT" parameter.:BULDACCT HP32265%VSACCT=ERP :EDITOR /T BULDJOB1; CHANGE "HP32265" TO "ERPTOOLS" IN ALL; K /T BULDJOB2; CHANGE "HP32265" TO "ERPTOOLS" IN ALL; K; E :STREAM BULDJOB1Watch the console messages to verify that the job is successful.
- Move all tool files to the new account.
:FILE T;DEV=TAPE :STORE @.@.HP32265;*T; :RESTORE *T;@.@.@;ACCT=ERPTOOLS;OLDDATE :STREAM BULDJOB2Watch the console messages to verify that the job is successful.
- Change all application accounts that used the old tool account to reference the new account.
For each application account, logon as MGR and make the following changes.
Edit the file VERSNID.PUB, line 1 column 41 contains the tool account name. Make sure you change 8 characters for 8.:EDITOR /T VERSNID; CHANGE "HP32265 " TO "ERPTOOLS" IN 1; K; EFor FM and FB, as with an initial install, run CHGCONF to change the tool account name.
All UDC files and job files (in group PUB and HPJCL) need to be checked and changed. Utilities such as HPSEARCH,
GREP, and MPEX can be used to scan all these files for the old tool account name.
For monitor applications, MM, PM, PCM, MNT, stream TIPDBUPJ. After completion, bring up the monitor only and
schedule a PREP DICTIONARY. Verify that TIPDBUPJ and NMPREPJ complete successfully.
For non-monitor applications, SCM, FM, FB, FA, stream ADPREPJ and verify that if completes successfully.
- Cleanup.
Test your application to make sure it runs. Then you can purge the old tool account
