  • If a remote user accessing MPE/iX cannot logon, verify that the logon account and passwords are correct.

  • If you tried to log on from a system that supports prompting, try to log on using the FTP USER command:

    ftp> USER session,user.account,group

  • Check that passwords are entered correctly. Passwords must be entered as follows:

    At the password prompt: userpass,acctpass,grouppass

    or, as part of the logon string:


  ftp> USER sess,user/userpass.acct/acctpass,gourp/grouppass


NOTE: Passwords can only be entered once. For example, if the user enters the account password in the USER command string, do not re-enter it at the password prompt.
