Cannot Connect to the Remote Host

• Did you enter the correct ARPA domain name, IP address, or NS node name? See your network administrator.

• Check with your network administrator to find out the following:

  • Does the remote host system support FTP?

  • Is the FTP server up and running on the remote host system?

  • Is the network link active on the remote host system?

  • If an NS node name was used, make sure it is correctly entered in the network directory. If an ARPA domain name was used, make sure the name has been configured in the two required ASCII files. If not, use the IP address.
