Use them in place of actual characters when specifying any of the

Any number of alphanumeric character. Alone it means "all."

One alphanumeric character.

One number.
Examples:
- Display
all the file names.
File Name: @
- Display all file names beginning with "T".
File Name: T@
- Display all file names beginning with "T" followed
by four numbers.
File Name: T####
- Display all files for group "FINANCE"
File Name: @
Group: FINANCE
