  1. When performing the exercises in this course, you must log on as follows:

            HELLO USERx.ACCTx

            Account password = APASSx

            User password = UPASSx

X Means. In each of these passwords, the x is a two-digit user identifier that should be provided by the person responsible for setting up accounts. That person may also have assigned you different account and user passwords due to system security. Find out what your user identifier is before you begin any of the hands-on activities.

Your home group is CLASS, where the majority of your files reside. You also have two other groups in the account, PUB and PROJECT. PROJECT is empty.

For more information on the files in your account, see the Setup Instructions in this booklet.

  2. Make a copy of the card on the next page and fill in your user identifier number and passwords. Then keep it with you for reference as you go through the activities in the various student booklets:

         ACCOUNT PASSWORD: APASS1

         USER PASSWORD: UPASS1
