Though system shutdowns are a rare occurence, there are situations
that do require you shut down your computer. For example,
you will need to shut it down if you are changing the configuration,
changing system security, or moving the system to another location.
Since all users lose access to the computer
when you perform a shutdown, shutdowns greatly impact productivity and
business deadlines. As system manager, you should schedule any planned
shutdowns at a time least likely to interfere with users' productivity.
