You use the SYSFILE configurator to display information
about system libraries, programs, and the system message catalog
and to make any necessary changes.
To make the SYSFILE configurator changes permanent, you must generate
a system load tape (SLT) and then update or install the system with the
newly created SLT to implement the changes.
When you issue a SYSFILE command to
add, delete, or replace an object in one of the system files, SYSGEN
verifies that the file's group and account exist in MPEXLDIR.PUB.SYS.
If not, you will get an error.
In this chapter, you can find the following topics:
accessing the SYSFILE configurator
using SYSFILE configurator commands
displaying current file information
adding objects to the SLT
deleting objects from the SLT
replacing objects on the SLT
using a segmented library file as a compatability
mode segmented library (CMSL)
