Syntax

DT[C] dtcnum

Parameter

dtcnum

The number TermDSM associated with a particular DTC. The DTC command lists each DTC with its assigned number. This list is also printed when you make a mistake while typing in a DTC number.

WARNING! Do NOT power off the DTC until the EEPROM reprogramming is complete. Doing so will leave the DTC in an unusable state.
CAUTION: This subcommand aborts all sessions on the DTC under test. All users on the DTC under test should be logged off prior to running this subcommand.

Description

When this subcommand and the correct ROM version (made up of 8 ASCII characters) are entered, the following message will be printed on the terminal:

TermDSM will now reprogram EEPROM with version XXXXXXXX.
(TDSM 637) Do you want to continue (yes or no)?

If you respond no, you will be returned to the major command. If you respond yes, the following message will be displayed:

The EEPROM reprogramming process is executing. The process takes about 7-10 minutes. Warning: Interrupting the process can be fatal to the DTC.

After the EEPROM reprogramming is completed, the following is printed on the terminal:

The EEPROM reprogramming was successfully completed. (TDSM 635)
