Available now for HP 3000 users is NetWorker from Legato,
a client/server application that provides advanced storage management
capabilities to a heterogeneous environment of servers and desktop

These are the key benefits of using NetWorker: Complete Solution for HP Environments NetWorker is the most widely-implemented backup utility in
open system environments. It provides HP 3000 users with better
integration in a multiplatform environment, allowing them to back
up data to an UNIX, NT, or Netware server. Support for HP's DLT Library System NetWorker is fully compatible with HP's Advanced DLT Library
System enabling all server and desktop data to be automatically
backed up, indexed, and policy-managed for either user-based file
recovery or complete disaster recovery. Centralized Enterprise Management NetWorker's client/server architecture and centralized storage
model allow integration into network management frameworks. Legato
NetWorker integration modules allows SNMP-based administration of
NetWorker servers using HP OpenView, or complete enterprise administration
using HP OpenView IT/Operations. Superior Protection for On-Line Databases NetWorker supports on-line backup and restore operations for
Oracle, Informix, and application data of SAP R/3, Oracle Financials
and PeopleSoft HRMS.

These are the key features of the NetWorker Client for MPE/iX: Provides an easy-to-operate graphical
user interface and maintains a file index and media index to track
data backed up and recovered. Supports a wide range of industry tape (DAT) and
DLT libraries and furnishes a sophisticated media manager which
allows for unattended backup and restore using autochange library. Provides for concurrent device support for backup
and recovery operations using up to 16 backup devices simultaneously. Utilizes most of the features of 7x24 True-Online
Backup since NetWorker uses TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 for backup. However,
it will also work with FOS STORE and TurboSTORE/iX. Supports automatic backups of MPE volume sets. Also
provides the ability to run two or more scheduled backups in parallel. Provides an optional Legato NetWorker Archive Application
which gives the ability to take a snapshot of finished project files,
directories, or MPE volume sets residing on primary media and safely
stored on removable media.

HP-UX Network Edition Auto-library license for the server (LEGAUT0C)

The NetWorker Client for MPE/iX currently has software supported
through Legato, and NetWorker server software (LEGNETWR)
has software support available through HP or Legato. Legato NetWorker is the only third-party storage management
solution supported by HP Worldwide Customer Support Operations.
HP Response Center engineers have been fully trained on NetWorker
