DDFA connection problems are often due to improper
use and configuration of DDFA, application software, or faults in
the device or terminal server connection. This manual focuses on
simple tasks the user can perform to check for simple configuration
faults and to test the DDFA to DTC terminal server connection.
A rule of thumb in simple troubleshooting is to divide and
conquer. Identify the problem and break it into a set of smaller,
easier to test components. For each symptom, try to isolate possible
causes and find ways to eliminate them. For example, if an error
message is displayed in the log file, find its description in Appendix
B and perform the suggested action.
