STORE PURGE Option with Respect to PRIV Files by Tim Canepa--Commercial Systems Division The PURGE option of the STORE command is used to purge files in a store set upon completion of a successful STORE. STORE allows users with OP, SM or PM capability to purge privileged files with the PURGE option. The correct statement for the XL Release 1.2 MPE XL COMMANDS Reference Manual (P/N 32650-60002), with respect to privileged files, would be: "If a file has a negative file code, :STORE with the PURGE option will purge the file only when the user has OP, SM or PM capability" .
