AUTOINST/XL Add-On Feature

The Add-On feature in AUTOINST/V has been available to MPE V/E customers
since the T-Delta-5 release. We are happy to announce that it is now
available on MPE XL as well.
In the past, if MPE XL customers wished to add products to their system,
a full update or installation would be required. Now, customers may run
AUTOINST/XL with the Add-On INFO parameter and eliminate many unnecessary
steps that AUTOINST/XL normally performs. The advantage of this new
feature is that it will shorten system downtime.
This new feature requires an INFO parameter to be included in the run
command. The command must be entered as indicated below:

:AUTOINST;INFO=ADD-ON
AUTOINST/XL will perform the following tasks when the Add-On feature is
used:
* Ask if a SUBSYS tape has been included in the installation package.
The answer should always be yes unless the installation package is
incomplete.
* Stream the accounting structure jobs collectively known as SUPPACCT.
* Ask for the SUBSYS tape to be mounted.
* Flag all non-Autoinstallable products.
* Flag all data-communication products.
* Ask for a scratch tape to be mounted for the customized System Load
Tape (SLT).
* Create a customized SLT.
NOTE This feature can only be used with version A.20.00 and future XL
releases.
