The RAPID Products by Perry Mizota, Commercial Systems Division Beginning with this version of Transact (A.06.00), the internal interface between Transact and called Inform and Report will be changed from a procedure call to a created process. The CALL verb will still be used by a Transact program to invoke Inform and Report. However, the CALL verb will now cause Transact to run the Report or Inform run time processor from the same group and account as the Transact program file. The changes to the RAPID products were made in order to facilitate the implementation of enhancements in each of the products. The decision to make these changes was made after conducting a user survey to ensure that most customers will benefit from the change, and to confirm that a minimum number of existing applications will be affected.
