HP DeskManager B.02.01

HP DeskManager B.02.01 is an upgrade release to version B.02.00. It is
also the first released version to support MPE XL in Compatibility Mode.
In addition to internal product changes made specifically to support the
MPE XL, it provides several minor enhancements. The only changes
noticeable to HP DeskManager users on MPE XL are absence of HP Word/3000
and VisiCalc/3000 editors as options for creating, editing and printing
message items.
Following are the enhancements incorporated into this release:
* Allows creating Distribution List using directory searching.
* Allows a subject to be given to search replies.
* Acknowledges message if receiver has set Autoforward or Autoanswer.
* Gives function area <Forms Package> as compared to <Package>.
* Allows PCs supporting 25 lines to display suspend/resume label.
* Resolves inconsistencies between $CENTRE/$CENTER help directive.
* Allows an expiry date on Autoanswer.
* Does not prompt for attributes of un-configured resources.
* Allows :RUN to accept single quote as a delimeter for info string.
* Allows specification of \g on exec command, and default lib in &path.
* A "Send to Mailnode" facility is now added.
* Allows creation of a Distribution List containing all users on a
local Mailnode.
* Sets a JCW when MPE command fails.
* An Acknowledgement on a message is now fulfilled even by opening it.
* Allows item to display it's item size in FC/WA.
* Forward command now allows to forward multiple items.
ADVANCEMAIL SUPPORT ON HP 3000 MPE XL RELEASE 1.0
AdvanceMail is a PC electronic mail product which supports hard disc
Vectra, IBM PC machines (Part Number: HP27535F) and HP150 (Part Number :
HP27534A) Personal Computers when connected to HP Desk on an HP 3000.
AdvanceMail version A.01.03, is supported on MPE XL release 1.0 MIT base
with HP Desk B.02.01 systems in the following connections:
1. Asynchronous Connection Version---> DIRECT. Please consult the
AdvanceMail documentation for further details. Note: X.25 is not
available on MPE XL 1.0 systems. This means an AdvanceMail user
cannot connect to an MPE XL HP Desk system via an X.25 connection.
2. OfficeShare AdvanceNet Connection Version. MPE XL release 1.0
does not support OfficeShare LAN/3000. As a result the LAN
version of AdvanceMail is not supported on MPE XL systems.
