Appendix B PC API Files
The following files are included with the PC API product.
File Description
ALLBASE.MSG contains error messages from the PC client.
DBALLBAS.EXE is the ALLBASE Router that provides the PC client
interface to ALLBASE/SQL on database server.
DISPLOG.EXE is a support tool used to format data communications
trace logs.
ERROR.SQL contains error messages from Gupta C/API.
FILTER.DLL is a filter trace support tool used to trace the Gupta
C/API function calls, input parameters and return codes.
Can be used with Scriptor to reproduce problems.
README contains additional information not included in this
user's guide.
SCRIPTOR.EXE is the Scriptor program used to run the Verify Script
and the Views Script.
SQL.H is the C language include file.
SQL.INI stores information for routers and for the connection
string to target databases.
SQLAPIW.DLL is the Gupta C/API library.
SQLAPIW.LIB is a library that can be used to call SQLAPIW.DLL.
SQLAWIN.DLL provides the interface between the Gupta C/API and the
ALLBASE Router.
TRLT.DLL translates, packetizes and de-packetizes messages
between PC client and database server.
UNVIEWS.SCP is the script that removes all server-independent system
catalog views.
UNVIEWS.SQL is the script, which runs from ISQL, that removes the
server-independent views.
VERIFY.SCP is the script, which runs from Scriptor, that verifies
connection to the database server.
VIEWS.SCP is the script, which runs from Scriptor, that installs
the server-independent views, so that ALLBASE/SQL tables
can be accessed by PC client users.
VIEWS.SQL is the script, which runs from ISQL, that installs the
server-independent views, so that ALLBASE/SQL tables can
be accessed by PC client users.
WHAT.EXE is used to display version information.
