Setup PC API on the Remaining PC Clients

Once you have successfully installed and verified your connection to PC
API on one PC client, you can continue installing PC API as described in
this chapter or you can use HP Software Vendor (D2506A) to install PC API
on multiple PCs.

HP Software Vendor enables users to select appropriate tools and
automatically install them through the LAN server. This product also
keeps track of all the software licenses on the LAN and simplifies
installation of product upgrades.

Here is a checklist for additional installations of PC API connecting to
the same DBEnvironment.

   * Did you insert the Setup Disk in the desired drive and type setup?

   * Did you edit the path command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file to include
the directory where the PC API files are installed and reboot your
       PC?

   * Edit the SQL.INI file to update the server1 database code and the
       sysadm user code.

   * Did you check that there are no other SQL.INI or SQLAPIW.DLL files
       in other directories?

   * Did you run Verify Script to test the connection to the server?

   * Did you test the application?

The Views Script only needs to be executed once for each DBEnvironment.
To install the views, use either the Views Script with Scriptor or the
VIEW.SQL command file in ISQL. To use ISQL, refer to the section "ISQL
and SYSSQL Views" in the chapter "Maintaining PC API".
