General Features Simultaneous Release Version 3.0 of Micro Focus COBOL , which is the basis of COBOL Toolbox, is being developed on five leading development environments simultaneously, with only a slight staggering of releases into production. There is one product for DOS, Microsoft Windows and OS/2, and a separate one for SCO UNIX 386 and RS/6000 AIX (and other UNIX and UNIX-like platforms). Operating System Extensions (OSX) A single copy of the Micro Focus Operating System Extensions (OSX) product is now bundled with and included in the cost of this product. It provides a common set of operating facilities across multiple operating systems, currently including DOS, Microsoft Windows, OS/2, and UNIX. The facilities included in OSX are documented in your Toolbox Operating Guide, but are separately distributable as part of your application systems. A separate OSX license fee is charged for such distribution. Many of the features of OSX are part of the technology underlying COBOL Toolbox.
