This Book
This book is intended to be the first book you read on receiving Micro
Focus COBOL Toolbox. Provided you are familiar with COBOL and your
operating system, this book should be all you need to read to start
preparing and running programs.
It also gives an overview of the system, enabling you to find your way
around the other manuals and the detailed coverage they give of the many
features in the system.
The chapters in this book are as follows:
Chapter 1, Welcome!,
describes COBOL Toolbox and introduces you to some of the
terminology used throughout the manuals.
Chapter 2, Installing,
covers installing the system.
Chapter 3, Sample Session,
guides you through a brief session using COBOL Toolbox so that you
will soon feel at home with it.
Chapter 4, New Features in This Release,
describes features that will be new to programmers experienced with
earlier versions.
