HP Resource Sharing for MPE/iX

LOGON 

The LOGON command is a configuration command that lets you change the
logon string used by the server process when users access the HP 3000.
(All users connect to a common session named RESSHR. If you specify a
different session name here, it will replace RESSHR as the name for the
common session.)

You must have SM or NM capability to use this command.

Abbreviation:  LOG

Where used:  CONFIG>

LOGON [logon string]

logon string     Logon string (1-80 characters) for users accessing the
                 HP 3000.  The default logon is RESSHR,PCUSER.SYS,PPC.
                 The complete string includes:  RESSHR,user/user 
                 password.account/account password,group/group password.

For example, you might enter:

     LOGON RESSHR,PCUSER.SYS,SALES/MINE


NOTE If the MPE passwords have been changed, the logon string must be updated or users will be unable to make the connection.
