Flagging Errors with the DISCMGR JCW
DISCMGR uses a job control word called DMJCW to flag errors. If DISCMGR
fails, it sets DMJCW to the error number identifying the problem. This
is helpful when you run DISCMGR from a job stream--if it fails, you can
get the error number from the standard list and look up the error number
in this manual to see what happened.
This sample job stream uses DMJCW to flag an error:
!JOB DISCCOPY,ELLEN.ADMIN
!DISCMGR.PPC.SYS
!SET JCW DMJCW=0
USE E: \ELLENA
E:
MPETODOS MANUAL TO \ELLEN\ADMIN
!IF DMJCW
0 THEN
!TELL ELLEN.ADMIN "ERROR -- CHECK STDLIST FOR DISCMGR
ERROR NUMBER."
!ENDIF
USE E: /D
!EXIT
!EOJ
