Shift Option
The Shift option appears on the Draw Graphs and Export Logfile dialog
boxes.
Figure 10-67. Shift Option
Use the Shift start or stop scroll bars to set the start and stop times
of the day. You can define the shift as narrowly as 15 minutes or as
broadly as 24 hours by adjusting the shift start and stop times. The
shift can start or stop at any 15-minute interval you choose. Times are
shown in the dialog box.
Select a scroll arrow to change the time by 15 minutes (left to subtract
time; right to add time). Select the shaded bar to change the time by 1
hour (left to subtract time; right to add time). Or drag the scroll box
in the direction you want the time to change. The minimum change is 15
minutes.
Select All Day to reset the limits to 0:00 and 24:00.
If you choose a stop time that is earlier than the start time, HP
LaserRX/MPE displays Next Day above the stop time scroll bar, indicating
that for each day, the HP LaserRX/MPE graphs cross from one calendar day
into the next.
For example, you would set the Start time to 10:00 PM and the Stop time
to 4:00 AM to view data during late night and early morning hours. Next
Day appears above the stop time scroll bar since the start time is higher
than the stop time. This indicates that the graph begins on 1 calendar
day and ends on the next.
NOTE HP LaserRX/MPE allows you to define a day for Application and
Global graphs that is different than the day defined for data
extraction. You can look at subsets of the extracted data, but the
hours of the day that you view are limited by the hours specified
during extraction.
Shift is ignored when plotting disc space graphs since the disc
space data is collected only once each day.
