Chapter 8 The HP LaserRX/MPE Macro Function
The HP LaserRX/MPE macro function lets you record specific HP LaserRX/MPE
commands and functions and play them back (alone or in conjunction with
other HP LaserRX/MPE commands) at a later time.
Macros may be played back from within HP LaserRX/MPE or passed in as
parameters to HP LaserRX/MPE from the MS-DOS command line. For example,
you could record a macro that would automate the printing of a set of
graphs and then play back this macro from the MS-DOS command line to
print the same set of graphs for several different logfiles. (For
details on playing back a macro from the MS-DOS command line, see Chapter
9 .)
This chapter lists the HP LaserRX/MPE commands and functions that can be
recorded, describes how to create and play back macros, and shows several
examples of how to use macros with other HP LaserRX/MPE functions. In
addition, this chapter describes each of the HP LaserRX/MPE commands that
can be invoked from the MS-DOS command line.
