HP OfficeShare Errors 

If you experience an error while using HP OfficeShare, you may receive
one of the error messages below.

The HP OfficeShare Network User's Guide also discusses network errors.

When these HP OfficeShare message numbers are displayed by HP
LaserRX/MPE, they are shown in parentheses as part of additional detailed
information.

The network has not been initialized.

Action 

Start the networking software before making any HP OfficeShare calls.

11 

Insufficient networking memory resources.

Action 

Configure more circuits in the HP OfficeShare configuration file.

28 

Invalid node name length specified.

Action 

Shorten the node name.

37 

Can't find node name specified.

Action 

Check that the node specified is active in the network.

39 

Passed invalid node name.

Action 

Check that the specified node name is in the following AdvanceNet format:

object-name.domain-name.organization-name 

Where the first field may be as long as 15 characters and the last two
fields may be up to 16 characters in length (a-z, A-Z, and 0-9 are
allowed).  The fields are separated by periods.  The domain and
organization names may be omitted.

50 

Wrong size data length.

59 

Request timed out waiting for completion.

65 

Remote host aborted connection.

Action 

Check host standard list for abort messages.

117 

Failed attempt to establish a connection.

Action 

Check to see that NS services or HCS service is enabled on the remote
host.

118 

Version incompatibility between cooperative services and the PC network
software.

Action 

You need to update your software to a compatible version.  Call your
Hewlett-Packard service representative.

121 

Request timed out before any I/O operations were completed.

Action 

Restart HP LaserRX/MPE and try the operation again.  If the error
persists, call your Hewlett-Packard Service Representative.
