Who Should Use this Manual This manual is intended for MPE/iX users who want to use the Telnet/iX product to communicate between the HP 3000 and other systems that support Telnet. Before Using the Telnet/iX Product In order to use the Telnet/iX product, it must first be installed and configured on the HP 3000 acting as the Client and/or Server. Refer to Configuring and Managing MPE/iX Internet Services manual (32650-90835). In addition, Telnet must be installed and configured on remote systems on your network that will be accessed by the Telnet/iX Client or that will provide Telnet client services to connect you to your HP 3000 Telnet/iX Server. Your network administrator must also have the network and all accessed servers up and running.
