Preface
The HP Telnet/iX product provides the ARPA Telecommunications Network
Protocol (Telnet) service over TCP/IP to MPE/iX users who want
simultaneous direct access to HP 3000, HP 9000, and non-HP systems, which
support Telnet.
The chapters in this manual are organized as follows:
* Chapter 1, Overview, is a general summary of the Internet Services
and what is provided on MPE/iX. A discussion of the MPE/iX Telnet
implementations are also included.
* Chapter 2, Telnet/iX Client Commands: Quick Reference, provides
an alphabetic listing of Telnet/iX Client commands including
syntax and a brief description of usage.
* Chapter 3, Using the Telnet/iX Client, provides a task-oriented
approach to using the Telnet/iX Client.
* Chapter 4, Accessing the Telnet/iX Server, provides a
task-oriented approach to accessing the Telnet/iX Server.
* Chapter 5, Troubleshooting, provides troubleshooting steps for
resolving problems you may have using the Telnet/iX product.
* Glossary provides terms and definitions for Internet services and
networking.
