Hardware and Software Requirements 

In order to 
install and use FTP, you need the following:

   *   HP ARPA File Transfer Protocol product tape (part number 36957A).

   *   MPE/iX operating system version 2.2 or later, for the HP 3000.

          *   For Ethernet/802.3 local area network support:  ThinLAN
              3000/XL Link, or its ThickLAN option (part number 36923A).

          *   For X.25 wide area network support:  X.25 System Access
              software for the host MPE/iX system, and the DTC/X.25
              Network Access product (part number 36939A).
