Abbreviations Supplied With HP Desk
HP Desk is supplied with some abbreviations ready installed. These
illustrate some of the possibilities of the feature, as explained below:
* Abbreviations are provided for the applications HP ListKeeper, HP
Word, HP EasyChart and HP Draw. These are installed for all
users, as applications appearing to users in the Applications
Area. On those systems where these applications are available,
users can run them within HP Desk simply by typing HPLIST, HPWORD,
EZCHART or HPDRAW. Note that not all MPE/V applications are
available on MPE/XL.
* An abbreviation is provided for the LearnDesk class, enabling any
user to run this program within HP Desk. Though supplied with HP
Desk, LearnDesk is a separate program; so the abbreviation is a
way of enhancing the user's view of the product's integration.
The abbreviation is installed as an application for all users to
see, and they simply enter the application by typing LEARNDESK.
* An abbreviation is provided enabling the Configurator to be run
from within HP Desk simply by typing MAILCONFIG. This abbreviation
is installed just for users who are members of the Systemadmin,
Localadmin, and Networkadmin capability groups. As this
abbreviation is not for general use, it is not installed as an
application.
