Starting HP Desk From an Application
It is also possible to invoke the HP Desk user interface as a son process
of another application, to make use of the application data passing and
script capability. The calling application suspends itself and activates
HP Desk using the ACTIVATE intrinsic--just as if it were as son process
as described earlier. In order for the application to regain control
from HP Desk, the &CALLFATHER script directive is used. This will
suspend HP Desk and re-activate the application using the ACTIVATE
intrinsic. See Chapter 10 for more information on the &CALLFATHER
script directive.
