5303 - Modify Passwords Registered for Remote DS Computer 

Use 

Modifies passwords registered for remote DS computers.  This transaction
does not apply to NS computer, EFT/FSC or Intrinsics gateways.


CAUTION This transaction should be used with care and in conjunction with other facilities to change passwords, for example Passedit. Mail transmissions will be held up if actual and recorded passwords do not match.
Format 5303ComputernameUserpasswordAcctpassword where 5303 is the operation code. Computername is the name of an existing DS computer. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters. Userpassword Userpassword is the new password for the MAILMAN user on the remote machine; Field length of 8 alphanumeric characters. If no password is supplied in this fields, then the respective password will be cleared. This is an optional field. Acctpassword is the new password for the HPOFFICE account. Field Length of 8-alphanumeric characters. If no password is supplied, then any respective password is deleted. This is an optional field. Example 5303NYSALE03zed07mb petrc 5304 Modify Computer to DS Computer Use Use this transaction to modify the computer to a DS computer, and specify its computer node name and truck limits. This transaction does not apply to EFT/FSC or Intrinsics gateways. Format 5304ComputernameSendlimitReceivelimitNodename where 5304 is the operation code Computername is the name of an existing computer Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters including blanks. Sendlimit specifies the maximum number of trucks that may be sent to this computer. Field length of 2-characters. Field values to consist of numeric characters ranging between 1 and 63. Receivelimit is the maximum number of DS slave trucks that may log on from this machine. Field length of 2-characters. Field values to consist of numeric characters ranging between 1 and 63. Nodename is the DS node name for the computer. Field length of 50-alphanumeric characters and can contain blanks. Examples 5304LVRPOOL 2020PIPER067AA2 5305 Modify Computer to NS Computer Use This transaction modifies the existing computer to an NS computer, and sets the node name, truck limits and IP address and NS data compression values. This transaction does not apply to EFT/FSC or Intrinsics gateways. Format 5305ComputernameSendlimitReceivelimitNodeIPaddressDatacom where 5305 is the operation code. Computername is the name of an existing computer. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Sendlimit specifies the maximum number of trucks that may be sent to this computer. Field length of 2-characters. Field values to consist of numeric characters ranging between 1 and 63. Receivelimit is the maximum number of DS or NS slave trucks that may log on from this machine Field length of 2-characters. Field values to consist of numeric characters ranging between 1 and 63. Node is the NS node name for the computer. Field length of 50-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. IPaddress is the IP address of the remote computer. This information provides security against applications masquerading as Master Trucks. Formatted according to standard IP address conventions. This is optional. Datacom is used to specify the NS data compression level in column 80. The levels are: Blank leave as old value. 0 no data compression. 1 use data compression.
NOTE NS data compression can be used only if HP DeskManagerPLUS is installed both on the sending and receiving systems.
Example 5305 WOTAN 0808WOTAN.MFKG.SANF 54 Purge a Computer/Gateway and all Associated Routes Use Purges an existing computer or EFT/FSC gateway together with any associated routes and foreign address aliases. The computer must not be a default routing computer.
CAUTION Use this operation with care. Accidental use can disrupt your configuration.
Format 54Computer where 54 is the operation code. Computer is the name of the computer or gateway to be purged. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters starting with an alphabetic character. Examples 54MADRID 54DISOSS 61 Add a Route Use Adds a route by associating a mailnode with a computer or gateway. Format 61ComputerLocationSublocationPriority where 61 is the operation code. Computer is the name of an existing computer or gateway. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters starting with an alpha. Location is the code of an existing location. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters. Sublocation the sublocation code for the location. Must define a remote mailnode. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. This field is optional. Priority is an optional character field that specifies restrictions on the priority of mail allowed to use this route. The values follow: 3 Allows transmission of normal/deferred mail only. 4 Allows transmission of deferred mail only. Examples 61LVRPOOL MANF2 AD 61HPIBMA HPIBMA 3 62 Delete a Route Use Deletes a route between a mailnode and a computer or gateway. Format 62ComputerLocationSublocation where 62 is the operation code. Computer is the name of an existing computer or gateway. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters starting with an alpha. Location is the code of an existing location. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Sublocation is the sublocation code for the Location. Must define a remote mailnode. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. This is an optional field. Examples 62LVRPOOL MANF2 AD 62LONDON HPIBMA 63 Modify a Route Use Modifies the mail transmission priority assigned to a route. Format 63ComputerLocationSublocationPriority where 63 is the operation code. Computer is the name of the computer or gateway through which the route is defined. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. The field must start with an alpha. Location is the code of the location associated with the Computer. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Sublocation is the sublocation code for the Location. Must define a remote mailnode. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. This field is optional. Priority is the character specifying restrictions on the priority of mail allowed to use this route that is to be changed, as follows: 3 Allows transmission of normal/deferred mail only. 4 Allows transmission of deferred mail only. Examples 63LVRPOOL MANF2 AD3 63LONDON SALE2 71 Add Hierarchic Addressing toa Location Use Modifies an existing location from mailnode to hierarchic addressing. Format 71LocationLocalDefaultsublocUpdateflagSubsetflagDistributeflag where 71 is the operation code. Location is the code of the existing location which is to be hierarchically addressed. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Local is a mandatory character indicating whether the local computer is the Node Resolving Computer (NRC) for this location, as follows: 1 Indicates the local computer is not an NRC. 2 Indicates the local computer is an NRC. Defaultsubloc is the code of an existing sublocation which is to be the default sublocation for the NRC. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. This field is optional. Updateflag define how updates are to be applied to this system where: Blank No remote updates sent from this mailnode are applied to this system's database. 1 Remote Directory updates sent from this mailnode are to be applied to the database. 2 In addition to 1, local system and Directory updates are to be accepted. 3 In addition to 2, local user deletion updates are to be accepted. 4 In addition to 3, password updates are to be accepted. Subsetflag specifies whether future updates made on this computer relating to users on this mailnode are ignored. A one character field with values: Blank Updates applied. 1 Updates ignored. Distributeflag 1 character, which may be: 1 if this transaction should be reported to the BCREPORT file, for later distribution to other computers. Blank if this transaction is not required to be reported to the BCREPORT file, for later distribution to other computers. Examples 71HPIBMA 2 71MANF2 2AD 11 1 72 Delete Hierarchic Addressing froma Location Use Modifies an existing location from hierarchic to mailnode addressing. Any users that were associated with the location must first have been deleted. Format 72Location where 72 is the operation code. Location is an existing location code for which the location queue is to be deleted. Up to 6-alphanumeric characters. Examples 72SALE2 72EUCORP 73 Modify Hierarchic Location Use Modifies Hierarchic Location details. Format 73LocationDefaultsublocUpdateflagSubsetflagDistributeflag where 73 is the operation code. Location is the code of the existing hierarchic location for which the default sublocation is to be modified. Up to 6-alphanumeric characters. Defaultsubloc is the code of an existing sublocation which is to be the default sublocation for the NRC. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. This is an optional field. Updateflag define how updates are to be applied to this system where: blank No remote updates sent from this mailnode are applied to this system's database. 1 Remote Directory updates sent from this mailnode are to be applied to the database. 2 In addition to 1, local system and Directory updates are to be accepted. 3 In addition to 2, local user deletion updates are to be accepted. 4 In addition to 3, password updates are to be accepted. Format 74Location where 74 is the operation code. Location is the code of the hierarchic location to be made non-hierarchic. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters. Examples 74SALE2 74EUCORP 81 Add Foreign Address Alias Use Adds a foreign address alias for a particular foreign system to an existing user. Format 81GatewayUsername& Foreignaddress where 81 is the operation code. Gateway is the name of the gateway with which the foreign address alias is to be associated. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters and begins with an alpha. Username is the name of the user with whom a foreign address alias is to be associated, followed by an existing location code and an existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters which may include blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. A comma after the first specified name indicates that this is the user's surname. & is a continuation code. Foreignaddress is a foreign address to be associated with Username over Gateway. Up to 8 records long. First character must be an open bracket (. Last character must be a closed bracket ). Record length of 64-characters for each record, excluding any delimiting brackets. Examples 81IBMGAT2 COLIN COOK /DISOSS/02(CCOOK.CORPAC) 81HPIBMA O'NEILL, PAT/HPIBMA/00(PONEILL.RDPROFS) 82 Delete a Foreign Address Alias Use Deletes an existing foreign address from the specified user. Format 82GatewayUsername where 82 is the operation code. Gateway is the name of the gateway with which the foreign address alias is associated. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters. Username is the name of the user with whom the foreign address alias to be deleted is currently associated. The existing location code and an existing sublocation code follow the Username and are all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. A comma after the first specified name indicates that this is the user's last name. Examples 82IBMGAT2 COLIN COOK /DISOSS/02 82HPIBMA O'NEILL, PAT/HPIBMA/00 83 Modify a Foreign Address Alias Use Replaces an existing foreign address alias for an existing user with that specified. Format 83GatewayUsername& Foreignaddress where 83 is the operation code. Gateway is the name of the gateway with which the old foreign address alias is associated. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Username is the name of the user whose foreign address alias is to be replaced. It is followed by its existing location code and existing sublocation code, which are all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters and may contain blanks. Separating "/" characters separate username, location and sublocation data Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. A comma after the first specified name indicates that this is the user's last name. & is a continuation code. Foreignaddress is the new foreign address alias to be associated with Username over Gateway. Up to 8 records long. First character must be an open bracket (. Last character must be a closed bracket ). Record length of 64 characters (for each record, excluding any delimiting brackets). Use Adds a resource class to the database. This consists of four records placed in order. Format 91Resclass Resnumericattrib Ressimpleattrib Resdescrptattrib where 91 is the operation code. Resclass is the name of an existing class type. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks. Resnumericattrib are four fields containing the names of numeric attributes. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks in each field. Ressimpleattrib are four fields containing the names of simple attributes. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks in each field. Resdescrptattrib are four fields that contain the names of descriptive attributes. Field length of 16 alphanumeric characters and blanks. This is an optional field. Examples
NOTE If there are no values for an attribute a blank line needs to be left. (In the example case there are no numeric attribute values for those fields).

Use Deletes an existing resource class from the database. All the resources within a Resource Class must be deleted before that Resource Class, can be deleted. Format 92Resclass where 92 is the operation code. Resclass is the name of an existing class type. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks. Examples 92ROOMS 93 Modify Resource Class

Use Modifies a resource class by adding attributes. You cannot delete or add individual attributes in a class. The operation requires the use of four consecutive records. Format 93Resclass Resnumericattrib Ressimple attrib Resdescrptattrib 93 is the operation code. Resclass is the name of an existing class type. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks. Resnumericattrib are four fields containing the names of new numeric attributes. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks, in each field. Ressimpleattrib are four fields containing the names of new simple attributes. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks, in each. This is optional. Resdescrptattrib are four fields that contain the names of new descriptive attributes Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks, in each field. This is optional. Use Adds a resource to the database. This operation requires the use of exactly four consecutive records, even though some may not be required and should be left blank. Format 94ResclassResnodenameProfilename Resnumericattrib Ressimpleattrib Resdescrptattrib where 94 is the operation code. Resclass is the name of an existing class type. field length of 16-alphanumeric characters. Resnodename is the name of the resource and mailnode it exists on. Field length of 46-alphanumeric characters. Profilename is the name of the configuration template to be applied to this resource user. (By definition the resource will be a local user.) If a template name is specified, but does not exist on the database, then the transaction is rejected. An error message is displayed. When the Profilename field is left blank, then the "DEFAULT" template in the template file is used. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks starting in column 65. Resnumericattrib consists of four fields containing the values for numeric attributes. Field length of 6-numeric characters and blanks, for each field. These are optional. Ressimpleattrib consists of four fields containing the values for simple attributes. Field length of one character in each field. These are optional. Resdescrptattrib consists of four fields containing the values for descriptive attributes Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters, in each field. These are optional. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks. Resnodename is the name of the resource and mailnode it exists on. Field length of 46-alphanumeric characters and blanks. Profilename is the name of the configuration profile to be applied to this resource user. (by definition the resource will be a local user.) If a template name is specified, but does not exist on the database, then the transaction is rejected. An error message is displayed. When the Profilename field is left blank, then no changes are made. Field length of 16-alphanumeric characters and blanks, starting in column 65.
