Copying Items into and out of HP Desk
You can copy parts of messages or other items out of HP Desk. You can
also copy Non-HP Desk files into your Work Area, or into an open message,
package or folder that you have created.
To copy part of a message out of HP Desk:
Open the message and type COPY followed by the number of the part
you wish to copy. Then type TO and a new file name (enclosed in
parenthesis) and press Return. For example:
MESSAGE > COPY 2 TO (minutes) Return
Further Information
* You can copy only part of a message out of HP Desk; you cannot
copy a whole message.
To copy a file into HP Desk:
* Type COPY FROM followed by the file name (enclosed in
parenthesis). Press Return. For example:
MESSAGE > COPY FROM (filea) Return
HP Desk asks if you want to copy TDP/3000 and Edit/3000 files into
HP Desk as Text documents.
* To copy a file into HP Desk as a text item, type COPY TEXT FROM
For example:
Workarea > COPY TEXT FROM (tdpdoc) Return
Further Information
* You can also copy HP Slate and HP Word files as Text documents,
but then you will not be able to edit the files using HP Slate or
HP Word.
* You may only copy information from files to which you have read
access. If you are not sure about this, consult your HP Desk
System Administrator.
