Making Messages into Appointment Requests
You can make a message you are about to mail into an appointment request.
The recipient can then move or AutoInsert the message to their Calendar,
where it becomes an appointment.
If HP Schedule is available on your system you can also schedule
meetings.
To make a message into an appointment request:
1. Type APPOINTMENT Return at the MESSAGE > prompt.
HP Desk prompts for date and time details and asks if you want to
place the entry in your Calendar. If you answer NO you can type
APPOINTMENT again and change the details, or APPOINTMENT NO to
cancel the request.
2. Type MAIL Return at the MESSAGE > prompt.
To cancel an appointment you requested:
To cancel an appointment you've previously requested you must have
put the appointment in your Calendar or copied it to a folder in
your Filing Cabinet.
1. When you are in your Calendar, or the folder where you kept the
appointment, type CANCEL followed by the number of the appointment
and press Return. For example:
8/7/92 > CANCEL 1 Return
2. Write some comments explaining the cancellation and type MAIL
Return to mail the message.
If addressees have AutoInsert set their Calendar entry is automatically
cancelled.
