HP Motif/iX System Administrator's Supplement
Logging on to the HP 3000 host
To establish a session on an HP 3000, you must have a logon
identification. On MPE/iX, a logon consists of a user name and an
account name, and the format for it is user.account.
Once a logon has been created, it may be used in conjunction with MPE's
HELLO command to establish a session on an HP 3000. For example:
:HELLO MANAGER.SYS
For a detailed discussion of the HP 3000 account structure (directory),
