Creating a Terminal Emulation Window
To create a terminal emulation window on an HP 9000 workstation, use the
hpterm application. This is a terminal emulator program that uses the X
Window System to display information. The program supports block-mode
operations for accommodating applications such as VPLUS.
When this application is executed on a workstation, a window is created
on the display that accepts commands to an HP-UX shell (command
interpreter). An application executed within that window behaves as if
it were being executed from a block-mode terminal.
To invoke hpterm, enter the following command at the HP-UX workstation
prompt:
% hpterm
For more information on hpterm, refer to the HP-UX manual.
