Figure 5-1 shows the basic architecture of the TurboIMAGE system.

The TurboIMAGE database manager accesses data in each data set as needed,
based on information given in the root file.

Figure 5-2 shows the ALLBASE/SQL
architecture.

ALLBASE/SQL has two components which manage access to databases, SQLCore
and DBCore.  The data is stored in tables which reside physically in
DBEFiles and logically in DBEFileSets, as shown in Figure 5-2.  These
elements are described further in the next paragraphs.
