Hardware and Software Requirements ALLBASE/NET clients and servers must be connected by a LAN or a WAN (via X.25). The LAN or WAN provides all the necessary hardware and link software to allow communication between machines. [REV DEL] NS (Network Services) and ARPA services (Advanced Research Projects Agency) are the software interfaces that enable communication between machines on the same network using the TCP/IP protocol.
NOTE The HP-UX 10.0 release does not support NS.
If you are using NS, the following products must be installed on your HP 3000 Series 900 system before you install ALLBASE/NET: * NS3000/XL Network Services * ThinLAN 3000/XL Link or * DTC/X.25 XL Network Link
