How ALLBASE/NET Works
ALLBASE/NET uses a client/server architecture. The application runs on
the client node and the ALLBASE/SQL DBEnvironment resides on the server
node. The client and server are connected by a LAN (Local Area Network)
or a WAN (Wide Area Network).
A server node for one application can also be a client node for another
application that accesses another DBEnvironment. In the illustration
below, Node B is the server node for the application on Node A, and it is
also a client node when accessing Node C.
