   2. Start the system from the disk. The configuration for your system
was preloaded at the factory and is configured for the number of
internal disks that you purchased with your system.

                 ISL>START NORECOVERY

The system displays a series of startup messages and you are
prompted to confirm the date and time, as shown below.

If the date and time displayed are accurate, enter Y. If not,
enter N, and enter the correct date and time when prompted. Time
       must be entered in a 24-hour format (e.g., 5:00 p.m. is entered
as 17:00). Seconds default to 00 if not specified.

   4. If you have any external disks, or other devices, use SYSGEN to
configure them into your system. Your system configuration should
be the same as that shown in the table generated by running IOMAP.

If you are not making any changes, continue with section 2.2,
"Configuring System Disks Using VOLUTIL"; otherwise follow the
       steps below.

                 :SYSGEN
                 sysgen>io

   5. After you have completed the configuration changes, hold the new
       configuration and exit:

                 io>HOLD
                 io>EXIT

   6. Save this new configuration.

                 sysgen>KEEP CONFIG
            Purge old config? YES
                 sysgen>E

   7. Shut down the system by pressing the control and A keys at the
same time, then typing SHUTDOWN as follows:

                 control A
                 =SHUTDOWN

There will be several shutdown messages similar to those shown
       above.

   8. After the last shutdown message, (Shut 6), restart the system by
pressing the control and B keys at the same time. Respond to the
       prompts as shown.

                 control B
                 CM>RS

Execution of this . . . halts all system processing
and I/O activity and restarts the computer system.

      Type Y to confirm . . . restart . . . (Y/N):Y

If the system does not respond to the control B within ten seconds
power the system off and then back on again, and repeat step 9.

   9. Confirm that you want to boot the system from the Primary boot
       path.

  10. Start the system from the disk at the ISL> prompt.

                 ISL>START NORECOVERY

  11. Log on to your system.

                 :HELLO MANAGER.SYS;HIPRI
                 :STREAMS !!streams device!!
                 :SPOOLER LP;START

A welcome message appears. After the welcome message, you see the
