Determining System Recovery Using the HP FPT In the unlikely event that your system does not boot when you turn it on, or does not respond to the CTRL B reset, it is necessary to confirm that the system is connected correctly and is receiving power. If you have confirmed that the system is connected correctly, and the boot path does not appear, you may need to use the factory preload tape (FPT) to recover your system.
