At a Glance 

You can write results from one report into a variety of output files.
You can use output files as source tables when creating other reports or
as data for use with other application programs (not necessarily HP
ALLBASE/BRW). Using one or more output files from one or more reports in
another report is called multi-pass reporting.

The four types of output files include:

   *   Intermediate report files (IRF)

   *   Dictionary output files (DF)

   *   Quoted BASIC (QB) files

   *   Data Interchage Format (DIF) files

Each of these output types is discussed in this chapter under output
files.
