HP Business BASIC/XL Migration Guide
Preparing Files
SAVE the programs into fast-save (BASFP) files. Your program must be
semantically correct to migrate correctly. FOR-NEXT blocks must be
properly matched, and so on.
Edit your program so that lines never exceed 500 characters. HP Business
BASIC/XL has a maximum line length of 500 characters. The migration aid
issues a warning message when it encounters a line that exceeds 500
characters. Edit these lines before you read the file into HP Business
BASIC/XL.
If you will be using the SUB option of the CONVERT command, use the RENUM
command with a large increment to renumber your program before using the
migration aid. The increment needs to be large enough for any COM
declarations.
