Chapter 5 Migrating TurboIMAGE/V Databases Introduction TurboIMAGE/XL is not completely compatible with TurboIMAGE/V because of architectural and operating system differences between the MPE V machine and the MPE XL machine. However, many differences will not require source file changes in database statements. Data set and root file structures are the same as in HP Business BASIC/V. TurboIMAGE/XL stores real numbers in MPE V floating-point format. This ensures STORE/RESTORE compatibility of databases between TurboIMAGE/V and TurboIMAGE/XL. Applications running in compatibility mode do not require changes either.
